# Archive automation

> Archive an automation in gu1 to soft-delete it and stop future runs while preserving its configuration and execution history for later restore.

## Endpoint

```

Archived automations are excluded from execution. Use [Restore automation](/en/api-reference/automations/restore-automation) to undo.

## Response

**200** — `{ "success": true, "archived": true }`

**404** — not found
