# Dashboard sessions (one device at a time)

> How gu1 dashboard login behaves when you use multiple browsers or devices — covering single-device login, idle timeout, and security limits.

## Overview

When you sign in to the **gu1 dashboard** (e.g. [app.gu1.ai](https://app.gu1.ai)) with your user account, only **one active session** is kept for that account at a time.

## What This Means for You

If you are already signed in on **device or browser A** and you sign in with the **same user** on **device or browser B**, the session on **A** is ended automatically. You will need to sign in again on A if you want to use the dashboard there.

This applies to the **interactive dashboard** (web UI), not to **API keys**: server-to-server integrations that use API keys are not affected by dashboard session limits.

## Practical Tips

* Use a **single browser profile** for day-to-day work to avoid unexpected sign-outs.
* If your session ends unexpectedly, check whether a colleague or another device signed in with the same account.
